Spring is springing!

I have filled the mantlepiece with spring this week
Sweet little pots of tete a tete daffodils

The first of my hellebores opened!

and the snowdrops, cover the garden.
The snowdrops remind me of my grandfather as they were his favourite flower and it is only recently that I discovered the possible reason why. He was born on Valentines day ( Louis Valentine Valdemar quite an amazing name don't you think?) and the snowdrop is the traditional Valentines flower rather than the rose! I picked a few in a vase and love the way they spread open their petals in the wamth of the house.

Hi, I think snowdrops are much nicer and far less obvious than roses. I have just recently discovered your blog and am enjoying it very much. I admire your lovely colourful crochet( I am having some difficulty teaching myself from a book). I am a knitter really, but Im determined not to let crochet get the better of me. Have a lovely day - Jacqui

How wonderful to be surrounded by all the pretty flowers. Love that. And your granny blanket is absolutely FAB!

So pretty and cheerful! I love the splashes of color against the creamy colored wall, and that bit of blue frame. :~)
