I've been teaching myself a few new tricks this week using Illustrator and had fun yesterday combining some of them into a print. There's layers and transparencies in there, also some shape building techniques which have saved me a whole heap of time. I even managed to scan in some of my own printed textures and cut them to shape to add some more interesting textures.
The above image is being made into cards and will also be available as a print in my Etsy shop soon.
I could play and learn like this for hours but there are shops to fill and orders to get done, even on a Sunday.

Town Farm Art Show
Time to breathe a little life into my blog, to tell you about this years Town Farm Art Show. I'll be there again this year in just over 2 weeks and hope you can join us as we show our work in the beautiful setting of Town Farm in Cheddington. Once again we'll also be selling refreshments in aid of the Rennie Grove Hospice.

While my blogging has taken a back seat I've been hard at it! New designs, new stockists and more to come.
I also made a decision about my screenprinted work and am selling my exposure unit as I'm just not happy with the waste that is going down the drain from the chemicals required to expose screens. From now on all my screenprints will be solely from stencils and my inks will continue to be eco friendly and water based.
Talking of which I have a new toy which makes cutting detailed stencils a breeze.
